HLC 890 Plastic Submersible Level Probe For Aggressive Media

The SENSVISION HLC 890 is a plastic submersible level probe developed for continuous hydrostatic level measurement in wastewater and chemically aggressive liquids. Its polished ceramic measuring diaphragm is flush mounted, helping to limit the build up of solids and making the sensing surface easier to clean. With a 45 mm diameter housing and measurement ranges from 0 to 0.4 mH₂O up to 0 to 100 mH₂O, it is suited to tank level monitoring where media compatibility and dependable submerged operation are important.

A 99.9% Al₂O₃ ceramic diaphragm provides strong chemical and mechanical resistance, while PP H housing is standard and PVDF housing is available as an option. The HLC 890 can be specified with FKM, EPDM or FFKM seals and PVC, PUR, FEP or TPE U cable sheaths to suit the media and installation environment. Standard output is 4 to 20 mA in a two wire configuration, with 0 to 10 V three wire output available as an option. IP68 ingress protection and high overpressure resistance support reliable operation in wastewater treatment and industrial liquid handling applications.

HLC 890 Aggressive Media Level Probe Features

  1. Flush Ceramic Diaphragm For Cleaner Level Measurement
The flush mounted ceramic diaphragm is designed to resist the accumulation of solids and support easier cleaning in wastewater, viscous liquid and contaminated media applications.

  2. High Purity Ceramic Sensor For Chemical Resistance
The probe uses a polished 99.9% Al₂O₃ ceramic capacitive sensor that provides strong chemical and mechanical resistance for compatible aggressive liquids.

  3. Wide Hydrostatic Level Measurement Range
Nominal level ranges extend from 0 to 0.4 mH₂O to 0 to 100 mH₂O, allowing selection for shallow tanks, process vessels and deeper liquid storage applications.

  4. Flexible Housing And Seal Material Selection
Standard PP H housing and optional PVDF housing, together with FKM, EPDM and FFKM seal options, allow the HLC 890 to be selected for compatible media requirements.

  5. Reliable Signal Outputs For Control Systems
The standard 4 to 20 mA two wire output operates from 9 to 32 VDC. A 0 to 10 V three wire output is available for systems requiring a voltage signal.

  6. Stable Measurement Performance
Standard accuracy is up to ±0.35% of span, with an optional accuracy of up to ±0.25% of span. Long term stability is up to ±0.1% of span per year.

  7. Cable Options For Installation Conditions
PVC, PUR, FEP and TPE U cables are available with an integrated air tube for atmospheric pressure reference. The selected cable must be suitable for the intended temperature range.

  8. Adaptable Submerged Mounting Arrangements
The probe can be prepared with an R1 inch connection for mounting with plastic pipe. Assembly flanges and terminal clamps are also available for installation support.
