SENSVISION HLS 310 T – An Equivalent to the BD Sensors LMP 307T
The BD Sensors LMP 307T is a stainless steel submersible probe that measures two things at once: hydrostatic level and the temperature of the liquid it is submerged in. It covers nominal ranges from 0 … 1 mH₂O up to 0 … 250 mH₂O at a standard pressure accuracy of 0.35% FSO, or 0.25% FSO as an option, with temperature ranges from 0 … 30 °C up to 0 … 70 °C.
The SENSVISION HLS 310 T is a directly equivalent level and temperature transmitter covering the same 0 to 1 mH₂O through 0 to 250 mH₂O span across thirteen standard steps – 0.1 bar to 25 bar gauge – with matching pressure accuracy of up to ±0.35% of span from 0.4 bar, up to ±0.25% of span optionally and up to ±0.5% of span below 0.4 bar, and the same 0 °C to 30 °C, 0 °C to 50 °C and 0 °C to 70 °C standard temperature ranges at up to ±1 °C accuracy.
The dual measurement is the entire point of this pair, and both handle it the same way: two separate 4 … 20 mA two-wire outputs, one for level and one for temperature, galvanically isolated from each other and each fed from a 10 to 30 V DC supply. That isolation matters in practice – the two loops can run to different inputs, or different instruments, without one circuit influencing the other. On the HLS 310 T the temperature measurement comes from an integrated Pt 100 Class B thermal element, and the available temperature limits run from −10 °C to 70 °C with a minimum span of 30 °C and a maximum span of 80 °C, so the output can be scaled to the range that actually matters in the tank rather than the full sensor capability.
Mechanically both are conventional submersible probes on a suspension cable. Wetted materials are stainless steel – a 1.4404 (316L) housing with a 1.4435 (316L) diaphragm and FKM or EPDM seals – and the cable carries the integrated air tube that references the sensor to atmospheric pressure for gauge measurement, in PVC, PUR, FEP or TPE-U, at 7.4 mm diameter on the HLS 310 T with a 27 mm body and approximately 200 g without cable. Both are sealed to IP 68 for permanent submersion. Both are also available with drinking water certification: the LMP 307T lists DVGW and KTW, and the HLS 310 T is certified to DVGW W 270 and UBA KTW in the EPDM seal and PUR cable configuration, so a potable water duty can be matched directly provided that build is specified.
Whether you are replacing an installed BD Sensors LMP 307T or specifying a combined level and temperature probe for a new reservoir, borehole or process tank, the SENSVISION HLS 310 T delivers equivalent measurement performance, materials and dual-output capability as a dependable, cost-effective alternative.
