SENSVISION HLS 330D RS – An Equivalent to the BD Sensors LMP 331i RS 485
The BD Sensors LMP 331i RS 485 is the digital, serial-output version of the LMP 331i precision screw-in level transmitter. It measures hydrostatic level from a threaded process connection in the wall or base of a tank rather than from a suspended probe, and instead of a 4–20 mA or 0–10 V signal it communicates over an RS 485 bus, so level, temperature and device configuration can be read and written directly by a controller.
The SENSVISION HLS 330D RS offers equivalent stainless steel screw-in construction, hydrostatic measuring principle, digital signal compensation and RS 485 communication as the BD Sensors LMP 331i RS 485, making it an ideal replacement for both new installations and existing systems.
Like the LMP 331i RS 485, the SENSVISION HLS 330D RS mounts through a threaded process connection, in this case G 3/4 inch DIN 3852, and processes the sensor signal digitally. A 24 bit analogue to digital converter provides active compensation, giving accuracy of up to 0.1% of span according to EN IEC 62828-2, long-term stability of up to 0.1% of span per year and 80 measurements per second, with a thermal tolerance band of up to ±0.2% of span in the compensated range.
The RS 485 interface supports HART and Modbus RTU simultaneously, so the same transmitter can serve both a HART host and a Modbus RTU master. Device address, baud rate from 1200 to 38400 Bd, parity and measurement units are configurable through Modbus holding registers or HART commands. Nominal level ranges run from 4 mH2O to 400 mH2O, corresponding to nominal pressure ranges of 0.4 to 40 bar gauge, with wetted parts in stainless steel 316L.
