Operates from -20 to +135 °C with vibration resistance to MIL-STD-810C at 20 g.
Applications For Gear Shift Load Cells
With male threads and a compact body, the Titan Moto M-Series fits a wide range of in-line force measurements:
- Quick-shift systems – gear lever force sensing for ignition cut and auto-blip strategies.
- Sequential gearbox development – analyzing shift force and timing during testing.
- Suspension and pushrod testing – measuring link loads on track or on the rig.
- Control rod force – loads in steering, throttle and actuator linkages.
- Aero surface measurements – loads on wing stays and adjustable aerodynamic parts.
Why Shift Force Matters In A Quick-Shift System
A quick-shifter lets the driver or rider change gear without lifting the throttle or using the clutch. To do that, the ECU has to know the exact moment a shift is requested. A simple switch can only say on or off; a load cell reports how much force is on the lever and in which direction, so the ECU can separate a deliberate shift from vibration or a resting foot.
The M-Series uses a strain gauge Wheatstone bridge with built-in amplification to produce a 0.5-4.5 V signal. At rest the output is 2.5 V. It rises as the rod is compressed and falls as it is pulled, giving separate, tunable thresholds for upshifts and downshifts.

Titan Moto M-Series Gear Shift Load Cell FAQs
Should I choose M6 or M8 threads?
Match the thread to your existing shift rod and rod ends. M6 x 1 is common on motorcycle linkages, while M8 x 1.25 suits heavier car shift mechanisms.
How does the M-Series differ from the F-Series?
The M-Series has male threads in M6 or M8, and the F-Series has M6 female threads. Ranges, output, accuracy and temperature rating are the same.
Can it measure both upshifts and downshifts?
Yes. The load cell measures tension and compression. The output is 2.5 V at rest, rises with compression and falls with tension, so separate thresholds can be set for each direction.
What supply voltage does it need?
The ratiometric version runs from 4.5 to 5.5 VDC and the regulated version from 8 to 16 VDC.
