Applications For Custom OEM Pressure Transmitters
The SCPT suits volume applications where a standard transmitter is not the ideal fit:
- OEM installations – pressure sensing built into pumps, compressors, dispensers and machinery.
- Scientific and research equipment – stable, repeatable measurement inside instruments.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic equipment – system pressure monitoring up to 400 bar.
- Medical devices – pressure feedback in equipment and prototypes.
- Data loggers – low-power millivolt or ratiometric outputs for battery operation.
Why Choose A Custom Pressure Transmitter For OEM Use?
When a sensor is built into a product in volume, small details matter: the thread that suits the manifold, a connector that plugs straight into the wiring harness, an output matched to the control board. The SCPT is designed so these details can be specified rather than worked around, reducing adaptors, wiring and assembly time on every unit built.
The sensing element is a ceramic piezo-resistive cell. Its output can be taken directly from the Wheatstone bridge as a millivolt signal, rationalized so every sensor gives the same full-scale output, or amplified to a 0.5-4.5 V ratiometric signal for direct connection to a microcontroller or ECU input. Various thermal compensation options are available.

SCPT Custom Pressure Transmitter FAQs
What can be customized on the SCPT?
The housing material, pressure port thread, electrical connection, output signal, pressure range and thermal compensation can all be specified.
What does a rationalized mV output mean?
The raw output of a sensing bridge varies slightly from sensor to sensor. A rationalized output is trimmed so every sensor gives the same full-scale signal, such as 10 mV/V, making units interchangeable without recalibration.
Can the SCPT connect directly to a microcontroller?
Yes. The 0.5-4.5 V ratiometric version runs from 2.7 to 5.5 VDC and connects directly to an analog input.
What is the maximum pressure range?
The SCPT is available in ranges up to 400 bar.
