SENSVISION TDP 310 – An Equivalent to the BD Sensors DMD 331
The BD Sensors DMD 331 is a compact differential pressure transmitter for liquids and gases, built around a piezoresistive stainless steel sensor that can be pressurised on both sides (wet/wet). It covers differential ranges from 0 … 20 mbar up to 0 … 16 bar and tolerates one-sided static pressure of up to 30 times the selected differential range.
The SENSVISION TDP 310 uses the same piezoresistive stainless steel measuring principle and covers the same differential span of 0 … 20 mbar up to 0 … 16 bar, with nominal pressure options of 0.2, 0.4, 1, 2.5, 6 and 16 bar. Both pressure ports can be loaded with media compatible with stainless steel 1.4404 and 1.4435, making it a direct functional alternative to the BD Sensors DMD 331.
Like the DMD 331, the TDP 310 is built for true wet/wet differential measurement across filters, pumps, valves and flow restrictions, where the positive and negative ports see very different line pressures. Its permissible one-sided static pressure of 0.5, 1, 3, 6, 20 or 60 bar, depending on the nominal range selected, allows it to operate where static line pressure is far higher than the differential being measured.
Both transmitters offer the same signal options for control systems: a standard 2-wire 4 … 20 mA output and an optional 3-wire 0 … 10 V output, with an intrinsically safe Ex ia version available for hazardous areas. The TDP 310 matches the DMD 331 on accuracy (≤ ±0.5% span up to 5:1 turn down, ≤ ±1% span above), response time (< 5 ms), IP 65 ingress protection, and mechanical robustness of 10 g RMS vibration and 100 g / 11 ms shock.
Whether you are replacing an installed BD Sensors DMD 331 or specifying a compact differential pressure transmitter for a new machine or skid, the SENSVISION TDP 310 provides the same fit, form and function in a more cost-effective package, backed by expert application support from Diversified Technologies.
