SENSVISION PTC 420 – An Equivalent to the BD Sensors DMK 458
The BD Sensors DMK 458 is a high-accuracy ceramic pressure transmitter designed for marine and offshore applications. It is suitable for low-pressure measurement and hydrostatic level measurement in applications including ballast tanks, loading systems, ship draught monitoring, and vessel stability systems, with nominal pressure ranges from 40 mbar to 20 bar.
The SENSVISION PTC 420 offers the same low-pressure measurement capability, capacitive ceramic sensor technology, high overpressure resistance, marine approvals, and application flexibility as the BD Sensors DMK 458, making it an ideal replacement for both new installations and existing marine systems.
The pressure transmitter DMK 458 was specifically designed for marine and offshore environments where accurate measurement, long-term stability, and resistance to vibration, temperature variation, and harsh operating conditions are essential. The SENSVISION PTC 420 is engineered to meet these same demanding requirements, delivering precise and dependable pressure and level measurement in shipbuilding and offshore applications.
Like the BD Sensors DMK 458, the SENSVISION PTC 420 uses a capacitive ceramic sensing element and is available with an optional 99.9% Al₂O₃ ceramic diaphragm for enhanced performance and media resistance. An optional CuNi10Fe1Mn copper-nickel pressure port is also available for applications requiring increased seawater resistance.
The SENSVISION PTC 420 holds approvals from major marine classification societies, including Lloyd’s Register, DNV, ABS, and CCS. It is also available in an Ex ia intrinsically safe version for hazardous areas.
Whether you are replacing an existing BD Sensors DMK 458 or specifying a high-accuracy pressure transmitter for a new marine or offshore project, the SENSVISION PTC 420 provides a dependable, cost-effective solution that delivers the performance, precision, and certification support required in demanding maritime environments.
