SENSVISION PTS 310D RS – An Equivalent to the BD Sensors DMP 331i RS 485

The BD Sensors DMP 331i RS 485 is the serial-output version of the DMP 331i precision pressure transmitter. Instead of an analogue signal it transmits digitally over an RS 485 bus, allowing pressure data, device parameters and configuration to be read and written by a controller, and allowing several transmitters to share a single two-wire bus.

The SENSVISION PTS 310D RS offers equivalent RS 485 digital communication, precision stainless steel sensing and configurable measurement parameters as the BD Sensors DMP 331i RS 485, making it an ideal replacement for both new installations and existing systems.

Like the DMP 331i RS 485, the SENSVISION PTS 310D RS outputs digitally over RS 485. It supports HART and Modbus RTU, and both protocols can be handled simultaneously, so the same device can serve a HART host and a Modbus RTU master. Modbus input and holding registers give access to measured pressure and temperature, recorded minimum and maximum values, damping, zero reset, pressure and temperature units, and the communication settings themselves.

Signal processing is carried out by digital electronics with a 24 bit analogue to digital converter, giving active temperature compensation and linearisation and accuracy of ≤ ±0.1% of span according to EN IEC 62828-2, across nominal ranges from 0.4 bar to 600 bar including vacuum and compound versions. Device address, baud rate from 1200 to 38400 Bd and parity are all configurable, which makes commissioning multi-device RS 485 installations straightforward.
