SENSVISION EPS 200F – An Equivalent to the BD Sensors DS 200 P
The BD Sensors DS 200 P is an electronic pressure switch with a flush welded stainless steel diaphragm, developed for viscous and pasty media in the food, pharmaceutical and process industries. It covers nominal ranges from 0.1 bar up to 40 bar, drives configurable PNP switching contacts, and shows the measured value on a rotatable four-digit LED display.
The SENSVISION EPS 200F is the hygienic, flush-diaphragm member of the EPS 200 switch family and covers a nominal range of 100 mbar up to 40 bar, spanning the same working band as the DS 200 P. It is likewise built around a dead-space-free flush welded stainless steel diaphragm, with a four-digit LED display in a rotatable housing.
The reason both instruments use a flush diaphragm is the same: a recessed pressure port would trap product and be impossible to clean. With the diaphragm level with the process connection there are no crevices for media to collect in, which is what makes the EPS 200F suitable for CIP and SIP cleaning installations, dairy and brewery process monitoring, and tank and vessel pressure alarms in regulated production areas.
On the switching side, the EPS 200F provides one or two independent PNP contacts with switching points, hysteresis and further parameters set on the device using the integrated push buttons, plus an optional 4 … 20 mA or 0 … 10 V analogue output for continuous feedback. Note that the DS 200 P can be ordered with up to four independent contacts, and that the EPS 200F is specified as a battery-powered instrument, so the switching count and the power supply arrangement should be confirmed against your application before ordering. Accuracy is 0.5% span as standard with 0.35% and 0.25% span options, wetted parts are stainless steel 1.4404 (316L) and 1.4435 (316L), seals are FKM with EPDM and NBR alternatives, and medium temperature runs from -40 °C to 125 °C at IP 65.
