SENSVISION EPS 205F – An Equivalent to the BD Sensors DS 201 P
The BD Sensors DS 201 P is an electronic pressure switch with a flush welded stainless steel diaphragm, intended for viscous or slightly contaminated fluids in mechanical engineering, food and pharmaceutical plant. It covers nominal ranges from 0 … 60 bar up to 0 … 400 bar, drives one, two or four independently configurable PNP contacts, and displays the measured value on a rotatable four-digit LED display.
The SENSVISION EPS 205F is the flush-diaphragm hygienic switch in the SENSVISION range and is the closest counterpart to the DS 201 P on construction and function. It uses the same dead-space-free flush welded stainless steel diaphragm, the same four-digit LED display in a rotatable housing, and the same principle of configurable PNP switching contacts with an optional analogue output.
Please check the pressure range before ordering. The published nominal range of the SENSVISION EPS 205F is 100 mbar to 40 bar, while the BD Sensors DS 201 P is specified from 60 bar to 400 bar. The two ranges do not overlap, so the EPS 205F is a direct replacement only where the actual working pressure of the application falls within 40 bar. For higher pressure duties our engineers will confirm the correct SENSVISION part for your range.
Where the pressure range does suit, the two switches align closely. Both use a flush diaphragm precisely because a recessed pressure port would trap viscous or contaminated product and be impossible to clean; on the EPS 205F this supports CIP and SIP cleaning installations, dairy and brewery process monitoring, and washdown environments. Switching points, hysteresis and switching logic are set on the device using integrated push buttons, accuracy is 0.5% span as standard to EN IEC 62828-2 with 0.35% and 0.25% span options, and an optional 4 … 20 mA (2-wire) or 0 … 10 V (3-wire) analogue output is available on a 12 … 36 VDC supply.
Materials also correspond, with a stainless steel 1.4404 (316L) pressure port, a 1.4435 (316L) diaphragm, FKM seals as standard with EPDM and NBR alternatives, and medium temperatures from -40 °C to 125 °C.
