SENSVISION EPS 205 – An Equivalent to the BD Sensors DS 201
The BD Sensors DS 201 is an electronic pressure switch built on a stainless steel sensing element, combining configurable PNP switching contacts with a rotatable four-digit LED display. It covers nominal ranges from 0 … 100 mbar up to 0 … 600 bar and is specified where a pressure threshold has to switch a pump, valve or alarm circuit directly at the measuring point.
The SENSVISION EPS 205 is an electronic pressure switch covering the identical 100 mbar to 600 bar nominal span, with the same stainless steel sensor, the same four-digit LED display in a rotatable housing, and one or two independent PNP switching contacts. That makes it a direct functional alternative to the DS 201 for both single-setpoint and dual-setpoint control schemes.
Configuration is done at the device on both instruments. On the EPS 205 the integrated push buttons set the switching points, hysteresis and switching logic without external tools or software, so a replacement unit can be commissioned to the same thresholds as the DS 201 it succeeds. The rotatable housing allows the display to be aligned for legibility whatever the orientation of the process connection.
Where a continuous signal is needed alongside the switching contacts, the EPS 205 offers an optional 4 … 20 mA (2-wire) or 0 … 10 V (3-wire) analogue output on a 12 … 36 VDC supply, matching the analogue options available on the DS 201. Materials also correspond, with a stainless steel 1.4404 (316L) pressure port, a 1.4435 (316L) diaphragm, FKM seals as standard with EPDM and NBR alternatives, medium temperatures of -40 °C to 125 °C, and IP 65 or IP 67 protection depending on the electrical connection.
Whether you are replacing an installed BD Sensors DS 201 or specifying an electronic pressure switch with local indication for a new plant, machine or water treatment system, the SENSVISION EPS 205 provides the same fit, form and function in a more cost-effective package, backed by expert application support from Diversified Technologies.
