Titan TPTd Digital Pressure Transmitter, I2C & SPI

The Titan TPTd is a digital pressure transmitter that brings a 96% alumina (Al2O3) ceramic piezo-resistive sensing cell and a microprocessor together in a compact stainless steel housing. Instead of an analog signal, it communicates calibrated pressure readings over I2C or SPI, so it can connect directly to a microcontroller, embedded board or data logger with no analog-to-digital conversion stage.

Running from a low 2.7 to 5.5 VDC supply, the TPTd is well suited to battery-powered and embedded OEM designs. Pressure ranges cover 0.5 bar to 600 bar in gauge, sealed gauge or absolute reference, with accuracy classes down to ≤ ±0.10% FS and M12 or integral cable connections offering up to IP67 protection.

Key Features Of The Titan TPTd Digital Pressure Transmitter

  1. Native I2C And SPI Communication
Digital pressure readings go straight to a microcontroller or host board, removing the need for external amplifiers and ADCs.

  2. Low-Voltage, Low-Power Operation
    A 2.7 to 5.5 VDC supply makes it a natural partner for 3.3 V and 5 V electronics and long-life battery systems.

  3. Ceramic Sensing Cell
The alumina (Al2O3) diaphragm offers excellent corrosion resistance and long-term stability with a wide range of liquids and gases.

  4. Ranges From 0.5 To 600 bar
Eleven standard ranges in gauge, sealed gauge and absolute reference.

  5. Accuracy Options Down To ±0.10% FS
Choose ≤ ±0.35%, ≤ ±0.25% or ≤ ±0.10% FS to match your application and budget.

  6. Compact, OEM-Friendly Design
Stainless steel body, M12 or cable outlet, and a choice of G1/4, 1/4 NPT and 7/16-20 UNF process ports.

Applications For Digital Pressure Transmitters

The Titan TPTd is designed for systems where pressure data needs to go straight into digital electronics:

  • Embedded OEM products – integrating pressure sensing directly with a host microcontroller.
  • Battery-powered data loggers – low supply voltage and current for extended field deployments.
  • IoT and remote monitoring devices – compact sensing for connected equipment and smart assets.
  • Laboratory and research rigs – digital readings fed directly into test software and acquisition hardware.
  • Medical device prototyping – precise pressure feedback in respiratory and fluid-handling prototypes.
  • Pressure surge detection – fast sensing of spikes and transients in hydraulic and water systems.
  • Automotive component testing – compact sensing on fuel, brake and lubrication test rigs.
  • Academic research and teaching – easy connection to development boards for student and research projects.

How The Titan TPTd Digital Pressure Transmitter Works

Like other Titan transmitters, the TPTd measures pressure with a thick-film Wheatstone bridge printed on the back of a ceramic diaphragm. An onboard microprocessor digitizes the bridge signal, applies the factory calibration and temperature compensation, and makes the finished pressure reading available over an I2C or SPI bus.

Because the conversion happens inside the sensor, the host system receives a ready-to-use digital value rather than a small analog signal that must be amplified and filtered. This simplifies circuit design, reduces noise pickup on the signal path and makes it easy to share a bus with other devices. Response-time options can be tailored to your design, and our engineers can help with integration.

Digital Interfaces And Electrical Connections

  • Digital interfaces – I2C and SPI
  • Supply voltage – 2.7 to 5.5 VDC

Titan TPTd Digital Pressure Transmitter FAQs

Which digital interfaces does the TPTd support?

The TPTd supports both I2C and SPI, allowing direct connection to most microcontrollers, single board computers and embedded data acquisition systems.

Can the TPTd run from a 3.3 V supply?

Yes. The TPTd operates from 2.7 to 5.5 VDC, so it works with both 3.3 V and 5 V logic systems.

When should I choose the TPTd over an analog transmitter?

Choose the TPTd when your system already uses a microcontroller or digital bus and you want to avoid analog signal conditioning. For long cable runs to a PLC, an analog 4-20 mA transmitter such as the Titan TPTa is usually the better option.

Is the TPTd available for absolute pressure?

Yes. The TPTd is offered in gauge, sealed gauge and absolute reference.
