Applications For Low Range Pressure Transmitters
The TPTLRa brings industrial-grade signals to low-pressure measurement tasks such as:
- HVAC and building services – filter, fan and low-pressure air system monitoring.
- Pneumatic systems – low-pressure air supply, actuator and valve monitoring.
- Tank and vessel level – hydrostatic level measurement in shallow tanks and sumps.
- OEM equipment – blowers, vacuum-assist, dosing and filtration systems.
- Laboratory and research testing – stable readings for experiments and quality checks.
- Medical device development – respiratory and fluid-delivery prototypes.
- Battery-powered data loggers – the ratiometric version draws minimal power.
- Aerospace and automotive testing – low-pressure fuel, intake and environmental test rigs.
How The Titan TPTLRa Low Range Pressure Transmitter Works
Measuring low pressures accurately requires a sensing element with high sensitivity. The TPTLRa uses a silicon piezo-resistive chip that responds strongly to small changes in pressure transmitted through its stainless steel wetted diaphragm. An onboard microprocessor amplifies the bridge signal, compensates for temperature and non-linearity, and scales the result to the selected analog output.
This makes the TPTLRa a plug-and-play solution for low-pressure measurement: no external amplifier, no separate signal conditioner, just a ready-to-use signal for your control or monitoring system. For applications that need a passive mV output instead, the Titan TPTLR transducer uses the same sensing technology.

Titan TPTLRa Low Range Pressure Transmitter FAQs
What is the difference between the TPTLR and the TPTLRa?
Both use the same silicon sensing technology for low ranges. The TPTLR provides a passive mV/V output for use with external electronics, while the TPTLRa includes signal conditioning to deliver a 4-20 mA, voltage or ratiometric output.
What is the lowest range available?
The lowest standard range is 70 mbar gauge (about 1 psi). Other ranges can be supplied on request.
Can the TPTLRa be used for tank level measurement?
Yes. Because hydrostatic pressure rises with liquid depth, a low range transmitter mounted at the base of a tank can provide continuous level measurement. A 70 mbar range corresponds to roughly 0.7 m (about 28 in) of water.
Which output is best for battery-powered data loggers?
The 0.5-4.5 V ratiometric version runs from 2.7 to 5.5 VDC and is designed for low-power logging applications.
